Shipping & Delivery
We ship artworks securely, traceably, and insured. Decisive factors are format, framing (especially glass), destination region, and desired protection class (Standard / Wooden Crate). Shipping costs are – as described in the webshop – shown in the invoice.
1) Packaging – Standard
- Multi-layer edge protection (foam/corrugated cardboard)
- External shock protection, low-moisture interlayers
- Safety clearance: the artwork does not touch the outer wall
- Suitable for smaller/medium formats without glass or with acrylic
2) Packaging – Wooden Crate
- Inner frame / spacers, vibration-damping storage
- Additional corner protection, screwed lid
- Recommended for glass, large format, unique pieces or overseas
- Optional: Tilt/shock indicator by agreement
Framed Pictures with Glass (Important)
Glass is fragile. Depending on size, frame construction, and shipping route, a wooden crate may be required. If possible, we recommend for overseas acrylic glass or shipping without glass (glass separate / local).
- Glass surfaces are protected against pressure and vibration (spacing, padding, edge protection).
- The risk is higher for large glass surfaces (temperature changes / shocks).
- We will briefly coordinate the packaging with you before shipping if there are specific requirements.

USA & Worldwide – Our "Worry-Free" Service
We understand that buying art internationally requires trust. For our customers in the USA and worldwide, we handle the complete export documentation process. We prepare all necessary customs documents (Commercial Invoice, Certificate of Origin) for you.
Good to know for US customers: Original artworks are generally duty-free upon import into the USA (under Chapter 97 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule). Typically, only a US customs processing fee (MPF) and applicable state sales tax apply. You don't have to worry about the logistics – our shipping partner (e.g., FedEx/DHL Express/Specialized Freight) will handle the clearance and deliver directly to your doorstep.
