Shipping & Delivery
We ship artworks safely, traceably, and insured. Decisive factors are format, framing (especially glass), target region, and desired protection class (Standard / Wooden Crate). Shipping costs are shown in the invoice – as described in the webshop.
1) Packaging – Standard
- Multi-layer edge protection (foam/corrugated cardboard)
- Shock protection outside, low-moisture intermediate layers
- Protective distance: the work does not touch the outer wall
- Suitable for small/medium formats without glass or with acrylic
2) Packaging – Wooden Crate / Crate
- Inner frame / spacers, vibration-damping storage
- Additional corner protection, screwed lid
- Recommended for glass, large format, unique pieces or overseas
- Optional: Tilt/shock indicator by agreement
Framed pictures with glass (important)
Glass is fragile. Depending on size, frame construction, and shipping route, a wooden crate may be required. If possible, we recommend acrylic glass or shipping without glass (glass separate / local) for overseas.
- Glass surfaces are protected against pressure and vibration (distance, padding, edge protection).
- For large glass surfaces, the risk is higher (temperature changes / shocks).
- We will coordinate the packaging with you shortly before shipping if there are special features.
Shipping Regions & Guidelines
Guidelines serve as orientation. Final prices depend on dimensions, weight, insurance value, and service level. In checkout, the region is derived from the delivery address; packaging type is chosen separately.

Insurance
- We recommend shipping with value/transport insurance.
- The insurance value is based on the invoice amount.
- In case of damage, photos of packaging, outer box/crate, and contents are required.

- Invoice/Commercial Invoice, contents, value, origin, recipient.
- Product group: Artworks (differs depending on type of work).
- Import duties depend on the recipient country (USA: depending on classification).
- We note the tax treatment according to invoice (export delivery) for export.
